Pitch Fight

Pitch Fight is Bristol’s female and non-binary auditioned A Cappella group. We are known for our sassy and powerful vibes, performing collegiate a cappella versions of anything from Aerosmith to Taylor Swift. We’re looking for strong singers and beatboxers who love to sing, dance and perform. Come along to our auditions and show us what you’ve got!

We rehearse for 5 hours a week but the group spends a lot more time together socialising in and out of the society, so be prepared for your world to turn into a real-life version of Pitch Perfect! We also don’t require the ability to read sheet music. We are super excited to continue doing what we love next year – take a look at what we have accomplished in just this past year!

  • Our first performance was at the Best Of the South West (BOSW), where we opened the second half of the show with the iconic Dream On!
  • Next, we performed at Catherine’s house, a nursing home for the elderly. This was an extremely rewarding concert and we will continue to perform at places like these!
  • We competed in the ICCAs (yes, the competition from Pitch Perfect), enjoying every moment of it! In 2021, we even came 3rd in the UK National Finals, winning an award for our outstanding choreography. Take a look at our winning video – https://youtu.be/axKUcd-C7x4
  • We were the supporting act at Clicendales (the medic charity strip show), this is always one of the most looked-forward to events in our calendar annually!
  • This year, we are joining up with the University of Bristol’s male and non-binary auditioned group to become ‘acadepitch’, and are travelling to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to perform a hunger games parody ‘The 74th Annual Sunger Games’. We intend to carry on our successful run in Scotland, with us achieving a 5 star sold-out show last year; ‘Aca-Villa: the love island musical’.
  • We also performed at multiple UOB A Cappella-run events and externally run events such as the Christmas concert, end of year show, Great Western Chorus concert and LUKAS. In the past, we have also performed in a variety of the Universities formals, and will definitely continue doing so next year!
  • Additionally, we busk to help raise money for various projects throughout the year!
  • In the past, we have competed in national and international competitions and intend to again this year!
  • Our first EP, ‘Purple Reign’, was released in 2019 – take a listen to it here; it’s available for streaming and download on all major streaming platforms. Watch this space as something new and exciting is coming very soon! (keep an eye on our Spotify!)

Rehearsals:
